What is Upper GI Series?

Upper GI series is a useful tool in helping diagnose if someone has problems in the upper GI tract or not. The upper GI tract includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum.

An upper GI series uses x rays to help diagnose problems of the upper GI tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. The duodenum is the first part of the small intestine.
