What are some high fiber foods?

High fiber foods are integral constituents of a nutritious diet. Proper intake of fiber can help with weight loss, insulin management for diabetes patients as well as many other things, directly or indirectly related to overall good health. Here is a guide to high-fiber foods:

  • Every banana has 3 grams of fiber each, so does every carrot.  Blackberries, raspberries and Broccoli on the other hand offer 4-5 grams of fiber.
  • A single baked potato or sweet potato as well as sweet corn offer 5 grams in a single serving.
  • Peas (both black-eyed and green ones) have 7-9 grams in very single serving. Lentils and Lima beans have 6 grams of fiber in each serving.

All these high-fiber foods are very vital for the body. Including them in one’s diet ensures overall nutrition of the body.
