Foods abound with both fiber and water help in effective maintenance of the digestive system, shedding extra weight and keeping cardiovascular diseases at bay. Foods rich in fiber and water content include:

  • Spinach is 80 percent fiber which gives a sense of a full stomach and its water content helps in digestion. A cup of spinach has 14 grams of fiber.
  • Citrus fruits like orange and grapefruit are also very rich in fiber. A fresh medium sized orange has 3.1 grams of fiber and lots of water. In case of a medium sized grapefruit the fiber content is 12.24 grams. These citrus fruits are considered to have the highest water content among all fruits.
