But, if you are very clear about those three or four most important things you must complete today, then you can let go of the rest until tomorrow because you have accomplished what really matters most.”


    However, there are steps you can take to minimise the stress of balancing a full-time job and your family.


    Set your Boundaries


    One of best ways to keep your work and family life thriving is to identify your most important goals and work hard towards achieving them. Setting an unrealistic approach to work life will only leave you frustrated. Spend equal time with your family and friends to strike a balance between professional and personal life.


    Prepare the Night Before

     


    It is always convenient for working mothers to plan everything a night before as every minute in the morning is precious. Mornings will go smoothly if you prepare some things the night before. Lay out clothes, ensure your child’s homework is done, pack bagpacks, and also check the school plans. Planning things beforehand will help you reduce stress in the morning.


    Plan a Work Schedule


    Don’t let your work overpower the family time. Use a planning tool to write down your goals, appointments, and contacts. If you often work for late hours, talk to your boss or co-workers to chalk out a more feasible time schedule for you. Mark out in advance the days in which you need to work late. This will give you an opportunity to plan your family events well in advance without any glitch.
