The action of free radicals increases when one is surrounded by cigarette smoke or environmental pollutants. Fruits and vegetables have plentiful of vitamin A, C and E that are antioxidants.     Avoid Additives


    Additives are especially responsible for an increase in asthma attacks. One of the most well-known additives that affect asthma drastically is sulphite. Sulphites are found in processed food items such as beer, wine, tea, juice, dried fruits and vegetables, packaged potato products and pickled food.  Sulphites occur naturally in food such as corn, lettuce, soy products, maple syrup, garlic, eggs and leeks. Usually, the link between asthma attacks and sulphites is limited to asthmatics dependant on steroid medication.
