Walk: Walking is an effective method for weight loss. This can be done anywhere and is an ideal way to burn down extra calories from the body.

Drink as much water as you can: Drinking a lot of water can also help in replenishing your system and promoting weight loss. Finally, getting adequate sleep can also help in losing weight.

Rest well: Sleep deprivation induces hunger which results in overeating. That is why it is advisable to sleep for at least 8 hours in a day.

Meal planning: Make notes of what you eat during the day in a notebook. Review how much you eat on a daily or weekly basis. Pick out the healthy food choices you made for the duration. Stick to only those whenever the craving for food arises in the future.

Portion control: You should manage your serving sizes so that it does not make you eat more than necessary. The tendency may be eating an abnormally large serving and eat all of it. No sodas: Say no to is soda drink. Diet soda may be an option but even that has an ingredient aspartame which is not healthy by any means. Take to low-calorie fruit juice or just take to drinking water as already mentioned.

Chew well: You must mix as much saliva to the food when chewing as possible. Reduce the food in the mouth to a paste before swallowing. The enzymes present in saliva help to digest your food. The other advantage is that you get the feeling of being full earlier.

Regular meals: Do not skip your breakfast if you want to lose weight. The ideal breakfast is one which has a lot of complex carbohydrates and green leafy vegetables. Oatmeal is a good example.
