If someone at work has an offensive body odour, how will you tell them? You can’t just walk up to them with a bar of soap in your hand and preach personal hygiene, telling them the basic concept of cleaning and grooming. If you go that way, it can be embarrassing for that person. So, you must consider what it can do to that person’s morale and performance. You have to be careful to tell them this as it can alienate colleagues and lead to many undesirable consequences.

It is a sensitive topic; so make sure you talk to them in a private setting. Be clear and concise to get the point across. Just don’t make them feel that there is something terribly wrong with them. You can use words like "it's not that bad" to make them think that your complaint isn't that serious.

How to Prevent Body Odour

  • Bathe once a day and scrub for at least three to five minutes all over your body.
  • Use deodorant every day on the most common areas where you sweat.
  • Always change your clothes once you have broken a sweat in them.
  • Don’t eat foods that have strong spices.
  • Cut back on alcohol.
  • Brush your teeth, twice a day.
  • If you smoke and are having sweat issues, consider quitting.
