A recent study has discovered that muscular teenage boys are more likely to live longer than their “not so healthy” friends.

The study performed by the Swedish experts, who followed more than a million boys for 24 years, found that those with a low muscle build-up, weak leg and arm muscles are at a risk of dying early.

The researchers studied the link between muscle strength and early death which established that brawny boys perform better in survival tasks than the boys who have a below average body.

The study further stated that muscular teenagers have a 20-35 percent low risk of dying from any form of cardiovascular diseases. The teenagers are also 20-30 percent less prone to death due to suicide and 65 percent less likely to suffer from psychiatric diseases such as depression and schizophrenia.

In comparison to this, the teens aged between 15 to 19 years with a low muscle power are at a higher risk of dying before reaching to their mid-50s.
