Recent developments in our society, particularly the bio-technological breakthrough of Viagra and the hormonal testing with bio-identical substitutes available for women has altered the issues of intimacy. It is interesting to note that while men can get payment from insurance for up to 10 Viagra per month. Women do not have their hormonal replacement covered. Unfortunately, these financial issues do play a part in determining the intimacy issues for women.

Issues of sexuality and intimacy have become simpler and more complex at the same time. The way out is to speak up. Do not quit asking until your question is answered. You can be helped in this by an experienced counsellor. Be sure about what you want from your relationship and do not settle for anything less. Do not consider a relationship just because you have not been with someone for some time. There are a lot of people out there who are just as you visualised as perfect life partner for you.

You can also learn a lot of relaxation techniques for overcoming issues of intimacy. Feeling good about femininity and your individual sexuality also helps to resolve issues of intimacy. This is dependent on certain factors though, such as hormonal levels, the kind of life a woman has lived through since childhood, use of contraception pills, uterus and ovaries removal surgeries and endocrinal changes.

Whatever you may try to resolve your intimacy issue, keep in mind that it does not have to be forced upon you. With a little understanding and counselling with your partner, you might be able to overcome any intimacy issue faced by you.
