International Tea Day 2019: Serve It For Health Benefits

A lesser-known fact: Adding milk to the tea wipes out the natural benefits of the tea.

We are often told by our mother and grandmothers from a young age that one should avoid inculcating the habit of having tea. It is always assumed that having tea results in a pale complexion, leads to unwanted acidity, constipation and distorts the sleep cycle. There are numerous alternatives to the normal tea in the market that has increasingly extraordinary benefits in them that do not require adding tea and are very convenient to prepare. Many of the teas are imported from countries like Japan, China and Korea but their benefits on the body are worth every cost and hassle.

Some of the tea’s that naturally have excellent benefits on the body when consumed are as follows:

Brown Rice Green Tea

The Brown Rice Green Tea tastes heavenly good and just like it tastes, it has its paybacks too. Ginseng!! As an indo girl, I grew up knowing Ginseng and it's many variations in forms of warm drinks. Kopi ginseng anyone? haha But fast forward to today, my pick would be Ginseng tea. Why? It can improve energy levels and boost memory without the crashing of caffeine, which is super needed in this cray month of October and when it's getting colder. It is also rich in some of the ingredients that help in making your skin firmer by increasing the production of collagen in the middle layer of the skin, the dermis. Additionally, ginseng are rich sources of vitamins and minerals as well as antioxidants. These are very beneficial for the overall health of the skin. They improve the skin metabolism and eliminate dead skin cells, thereby producing healthy new skin! I'm so excited to also introduce more Ginseng in my routine, my next skincare haul will include Oolu's Ginseng Gold Mist by Dr. @ohkimscosmetic which is a sister brand of @whamisaskincare my fave organic korean skincare brand👌✨
