Complex carbs are processed at a slower rate than simple ones but the simple carbs spike your insulin level so high that your metabolism slows down.   • Increase water intake – Consume at least 5 litres of water daily. One-third of it should be consumed as soon as you wake up in the morning. It will hydrate your body and make your organs function better. It would also work as a filler and prevent your cravings for food. Make sure you drink water at least half an hour before taking your meal, not beyond that as it will hamper the digestion process.
