So if you are underweight, you need to seriously tackle the issue and make sure that your body gets the required nutrients to remain immune against diseases and infections. For those of you who wish to gain weight without dieting, here are some steps that you could follow.

To gain weight, eating is the most recommended technique, but it is important to make sure that you avoid junk and fast food as these will only harm your health. It is important to eat at least six times a day that include breakfast, lunch and dinner. You could also sneak in fresh and healthy snacks in between meals to keep your calorie level intact. Make sure you include a lot of proteins and vitamin rich food in your diet.

Sleep has been suggested as one of the best methods to gain weight. The more your body gets rest, the more is the chance for calories to get accumulated in your body. A good 9 hour sleep at night will help you a lot in gaining weight. A half an hour nap just after lunch can also be helpful in gaining weight.

Tracking the changes in your body is also a good way of being on the right track of weight gain. By keeping a calorie table, you can make sure that you are informed about loading up on those essential calories. Record your weight at least twice a week. Take pictures and take heart in the fact that you are doing all you can to gain weight. Last but not the least, you need to hit the gym. Exercising and doing yoga can help you in processing those calories in a healthy way so that instead of becoming fat, they turn into effective muscles in your body. Do resistance training exercises for muscle strength and squats for your shoulders and chest. Light jogging on the treadmill  is also a good exercise technique.

If you follow these simple steps for a couple of months, the results will speak for themselves.
