Also, you should be careful with personal hygiene and cleaning of the genitals regularly; take special care right after a sexual intercourse. This will ensure that you are not providing bacteria with a convenient breeding ground.
Drink cranberry juice
The most popular home remedy to tackle a urinary tract infection is to drink cranberry juice and get benefited in more ways than one. Cranberry juice is a natural way to prevent infections of the urinary tract and it speed up recovery. By drinking six to eight ounces of pure cranberry juice everyday should be sufficient to help you. The most important rule here is to make sure you have pure cranberry juice as some of the drinks and cocktails that are usually made with the juice have insufficient quantity of it in them.
Eat foods that are high on vitamin C as it increases the level of acidity in the urine which will help to decrease the number of harmful bacteria in your urine. You must by all means visit a doctor if in case nothing works out, and the infection worsens. Don’t delay doctor visit else the UTI manifests into a more life-threatening disease.
