Most of us find it okay to skip shower for a day or two but you might want to think again, because skipping showers for two days may affect your health as well as your body.
For most of us, taking shower is a daily ritual. Some do it for hygiene purpose while others do it because not having a shower every day is considered no less than a sin. Nevertheless, a growing number of people are rejecting the idea that you should lather up regularly. Therefore, if you too are tempted to skip shower for a day or two, you might want to think again.
It has now been suggested that skipping shower for two days can cause gross things to your body.
According to an article published by tweentytwowords, humans carry around 1,000 types of bacteria and around 40 types of fungus. While it may sound little weird but these bacteria and fungus are actually good for us as they help us keep ourselves clean.
However, they need assistance from soaps and showers. That is because even if you are not sweaty, you are still getting dirty and constantly encountering all types of bacteria. Therefore, to contain the bad bacteria it is pivotal for you to take shower, otherwise the bacteria will run rampant. In addition, if you touch or rub your eyes or pick your nose or mouth, there is a good chance for you to fall sick.
Besides, when you do not shower and clean your skin, which is oily and salty by nature, on regular basis your skin, thus becomes irritated and blemished. That is not all; there is more to not taking showers for two days as you will also begin to stink. However, it is not just the body odour to be blamed for; it is the gases that are released by the bacteria consuming body protein and fatty acids. These gases can lead to as many as 30 bad smells.
Although it not really a health issue but for the sake of everyone else, please shower regularly.
