It is a wrong notion that pregnant women should only rest and not exercise. Doctors always suggest some form of workout or other for pregnant women. Yoga and walking are the best for them. Power yoga must be avoided as it strains the body. Breathing and relaxation exercises must be done every day to relax pelvic muscles and abdominal muscles. Pelvic girdle exercises and frog position are good for the expecting mother. Never strain your back. Avoid aerobics, lifting weight, running and jogging.
