Post –cancer diet is an important part of post cancer treatment. Ms. Ishi Khosla, clinical nutritionist tells what a post-cancer diet should include. Post cancer therapy diet must incorporate plenty of fruits and vegetables. Cancer patients must take 6 to 9 servings of brightly coloured vegetables in the cooked form, vegetable juices or salads. Different variety of fresh fruits (3 fruits in a day) must be taken. Patients can also take wheatgrass juice as it strengthens one’s immune system. Post-cancer diet can also have some specific functional foods such as garlic, soya items and turnips.
