According to a study published by Inter heart study in which research was conducted on 50,000 heart patients from 52 countries (one third of the heart patients were from India) smoking is one the most common risk factor that develops heart diseases. The population which is at attributed risk of developing the heart disease is 36 percent or we can say the risk of developing the heart disease has increased by a factor of 4.55 times.It has been observed that smoking exists with some other risk factors.
