Understanding what actually triggers IBS symptoms and avoiding them could help you reduce cramps and bloating. Here are some foods that you should avoid if you have irritable bowel syndrome. We all know that fiber adds healthy bulk to the diet and is found in foods such as whole grains, vegetables and fruits. However, what you may not know is eating too much insoluble fiber may intensify diarrhea and may increase your trips to washroom. Therefore, you should instead focus on consuming soluble fiber such as vegetables and fruit. Another food that could be blamed for giving you IBS symptoms is grains. Gluten, a type of protein found in rye, wheat and barley, can cause damage to your intestines and may even worsen symptoms of IBS.  Not many people are fond of drinking milk and you are one of those, you may actually be preventing yourself from getting diarrhea. Yes, that you read that, milk is considered problematic for two reasons, it contains fat, and second most IBS patients are lactose intolerant which means that they cannot digest lactose in milk products.  No doubt, there is nothing downright tasty as fried foods but if you have IBS, you should eat them in moderation as the high fat content may prove to be hard on your systems which could eventually worsen your IBS symptoms. Know more about such foods and prevent your IBS from getting worse.
