As per Dr. M.P. Sharma, Gastroenterologist, Rockland Hospital, New Delhi, chocolates, especially the black chocolates are really good for your health. Cocoa present in dark chocolates contains flavonoids, which act as antioxidants. They protect you from aging and maintain your blood pressure. They are very good for the skin. Flavonoids absorb the harmful UV rays, thereby keeping your skin wrinkle-free, moist and smooth. These flavonoids improve your blood circulation as well. Dark chocolates also contain serotonin that acts as an anti-depressant. They are also rich in theobromine which acts as a mood stimulant. White chocolates are not considered healthy. They are very high in calories compared to dark chocolates. White chocolates are rich in sugars and don’t provide any benefits of cocoa.
