This video explains all the mistakes of oiling your hair to help you understand where are you going wrong. Some of them are listed down here:

  • Mistake #1- Oiling your hair without combing them. You must detangle your hair before oiling as it prevent tangling and hair fall after oiling. Always comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb before oiling.
  • Mistake #2- Vigorous hair massage during oiling. If you think that massaging would help in absorption, you’re wrong. It can weaken the roots of your hair and trigger hair fall. You can massage the oil with light hands for about 10 minutes.
  • Mistake #3- Using cold oil for hair oiling. You should never use cold oil as it is not beneficial. Always warm the oil before oiling as then it gets absorbed into the roots properly.
  • Mistake #4- Tying your hair tightly. Most of you tie your hair in right ponytail or bun after oiling. This is a primary cause of most damage. You should not do that as your hair are relatively weak after oiling and tying them tightly can lead to hair breakage and loss.
