Get Rid of Stagnant Water

The Aedes aegypti mosquito is known to infect humans during day time and it commonly breeds on places where water gets accumulated. Therefore, it is important to clean stagnant water inside your house or in the surroundings.

Prevent Patient from being Bitten by Mosquito

If you have a person in the house who is already suffering from dengue, make sure that they are not bitten by a mosquito further. Also, be sure that everybody else in the house is protected against mosquito bites.

Use Mosquito Repellents

Mosquito repellants must be applied regularly. No matter what time of the day it is, if you stay in an area where mosquitoes breed easily, make sure you have repellants on during the day as well as at night.

Block all Entry Points

You must make sure that all the house's entry or exit points do not have a hole in it. If you find one, block all those holes properly to prohibit the entry of mosquitoes in the house.

Use Mosquito Net

If you live in a poorly sanitized area, you must sleep under a mosquito net every night. If you have kids in the house, make them sleep under a net during night without fail.

Keep Dustbin Clean

Whenever you see trash getting collected in the dustbin, empty it immediately. Dirty areas can also be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Also, keep the trash covered while it’s filling to prevent the mosquitoes from entering the area.

Keep Tulsi in the House

A natural way to prevent the mosquitoes from entering the house can be placing a tulsi plant near your window. The properties of this plant will prevent the mosquitoes from breeding.
