Change the milk

If you have been making your coffee with whole milk, it is time you replace it with something lighter. Switching from whole milk to a non-fatty one will save you 65 calories per cup. You may use soy or rice milk too.

Avoid sugar

If you enjoy your coffee with few tablespoonfuls of sugar, you are adding calories to your coffee. Sweetness is undoubtedly appealing, but it also increases calorie consumption. So, switch to artificial or natural sweeteners to avoid gaining weight.

Skip the cream

We agree that there is nothing better than a cup of creamy coffee, but you need to take care of your calories. Having a dollop of whipped cream on top of the mocha is all you want, but don’t forget every tablespoonful adds nearly 10 calories to your drink.

Drink less

If you can’t start your day without your favorite cup of coffee, drink in moderation, because overindulging in anything can be bad for your health. The less you drink, the less calories you get. Reduce the number of cups you have been drinking and if you find it difficult to get up from your bed without it, try to change your sleep habits instead.

Add ice

Have you tried coffee with ice cubes? Add few cubes of ice to your coffee cup and save yourself a little extra weight around your belly. Wondering how it works? Well, when you place ice cubes in your coffee cup, it takes up space and thus, reduces content of liquid in the cup.
