    They Never Fail!

A zit shows up the night before a special event or worse you break out before a big photo shoot. They don’t even pity celebrity A-listers like Cameron Diaz, Brittany Spears and Megan Fox. A picture can be photoshopped but the software can’t help the times when you need to turn up at an occasion. Then, it's time to think like a makeup artist! Here are the right techniques to cover up that zit do that no one else will notice it. Image Courtesy: Getty

When you have a pimple one of your goals is to reduce the swelling and flatten it. First step is to try using ice or ibuprofen. An eye drop, offering the same vasoconstriction properties that get the red out of your eyes, can work on pimples too. Soak a cotton swab in the eye drop and hold it next to your pimple for 5 minutes. Image Courtesy: Getty

If you've already popped the zit, moisturize the area so that it is not flaky or dry from products that you've used to previously treat it. You do want to try to dry out the little monster but without irritating it. Benzyl peroxide is your best choice to help shrink it. Image Courtesy: Getty

Hiding Pimple with Makeup: Step 1

Concealer is the easiest way to hide a pimple. Press the bristles of your makeup brush on top of the pimple, and then give the brush a twist. This gets the concealer into the blemish's nooks and crannies. Image Courtesy: Getty

Hiding Pimple with Makeup: Step 2

Place your finger on one side of the zit, then gently tap the concealer from the edge into the surrounding skin. Do this all the way around the zit to soften and blend the edges. Image Courtesy: Getty

Hiding Pimple with Makeup: Step 3

Now apply foundation as usual to the rest of your face. Take it all the way up to the zit's perimeter so skin is one even shade. Use a green based concealer corrector followed by foundation to counteract redness. Image Courtesy: Getty

Hiding Pimple with Makeup: Step 4

Dip a clean, dry finger into loose powder (it should match your skin exactly), then lightly tap it over the concealer. Talc or cornstarch in the powder prevents your skin's oils from melting the makeup under it. Image Courtesy: Getty

    Tip 1

Don't choose a concealer that is lighter than your skin tone or you will just bring attention to the thing you are trying to cover up. Focus only on the pimple and not the surrounding area. Image Courtesy: Getty

    Tip 2

Make-up won't stick to tacky skin that's been treated with salicylic acid. So use a cover-up that is already infused with the acne-fighting ingredient. Image Courtesy: Getty
