A research in Italy has found that beer drinkers have a 42 percent lower risk of heart disease compared to those who do not drink. You should keep your consumption limited to one pint a day.

Kicks Up Creativity

German born American poet Charles Bukowski had a reputation for drinking beer. This point could explain why! Drinking a few beers could boost your creativity! In a study, 40 men watched a movie while completing verbal puzzles, and those who had a few beers with a blood alcohol content of .075 were found to have solved the problems a few seconds faster than those who were sober!

Could Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

Dutch researchers after analysing 38,000 male health professionals found that when the men who weren't drinkers began drinking moderately over 4 years, they significantly lessened the risk of getting diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. But you must understand that increased alcohol consumption over time did not help to lower ther risk in men who were already in the habit of having a couple of drinks a day. Therefore, drink moderately, just a beer or two.

Ever suffered from B vitamin deficiency? This is your chance to get some back in your body! Beer, especially the unfiltered or the lightly filtered variety turns out to be quite nutritious. If you drink beer regularly or moderately you will help your HDL/LDL cholesterol ratios in a good way. The HDL is your good cholesterol, and the LDL is your bad cholesterol. Beer happens to power-flush the system and this way keeps the HDL level high.

Drinking beer could be good for you as it may help in keeping your eyes healthy. A research in Canada showed that one beer daily, especially lager or a stout, could inscrease your antioxidant activity and this would stop cataracts from forming in your eyes. But, scientists have also found an opposite effect in those who had three ot more drinks a day! So be careful.

Here is a good news for people who love to jump around or are into sports. A couple of beers could actually strengthen your bones, this is what a study had to say. Those drinking one or two brews had up to 4.5 percent greater bone density that those who did not drink. However, more than two beers were found to have up to 5.2 percent lower density, so be very careful.
