Erectile dysfunction also known as ED, is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection. It can be a major problem for men. Reasons like poor blood flow to the penis, too much alcohol, medications, or chronic illnesses can cause erectile dysfunction. Viagra is used to get proper erection while suffering from ED.

Drugs like Viagra help against specific problem of erectile dysfunction. When men get old they may experience erectile dysfunction. While the drug seems perfect for men in 50s or 60s it doesn't seem to be the right choice for young men.

Viagra is a popular however people known less about its prescribed uses. It is recommended just to get an erection during ED problem and it’s not at all an aphrodisiac or libido booster.

Viagra is a wonderful drug for sexual relationships as it helps fight the problem of erectile dysfunction. However that is all it can do. It cannot make you aroused or last longer. It can only give you an erect penis when you’re aroused.

Who should use it?

The drug is recommended only for people with ED which is commonly found in post-40 men. So in simple words, Viagra should be used by men in their 50s or 60s. However if you are experiencing ED at young age, your doctor may prescribe the drug to you as well.

Do young men use it?

Several recent studies have shown that the recreational use of Viagra has gone up among youngsters. Young men may use the drug as an aphrodisiac or to boost libido however it doesn't offer such benefits.

Should it be used by youngsters?

Many doctors believe that youngsters should not use the drug as long as they are not suffering from ED. Some studies strictly recommend not to use Viagra unless suffering from ED and prescribed by a medical care provider.

Is it harmful for youngsters?

Viagra shouldn't be used by youngsters as it may develop a dependency. Your body can get dependent on Viagra and you may later on find it hard to get an erection without the drug. So avoid using Viagra unless you really need it.

Other effects

You shouldn’t take the drug if you are taking other medicines that are used to treat chest pain, hypertension and other such ailments. Some of the other common side-effects are facial flushing, headaches, liver problems, blurred vision and sensitivity to light.
