Fighting Jock Itch

Jock itch is a type of fungal infection which occurs at body parts which excessively sweat. Therefore, people who indulge in more physical activities experience this fungus infection more often. To save yourself from jock itch, it is essential to keep sweaty body parts dry. Following are some home remedies which can help you fight jock itch effectively.

Holy Basil Leaves

Basil leaves are an effective home remedy to fight jock itch. Rubbing basil leaves on the effected area will not only fight the infection but it will also give you relief from inflammation caused by the infection.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera is considered to be the best natural remedy for all types of skin related troubles. Apply some ale vera gel on the affected area and experience instant relief from the itch and inflammation.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple contains anti-fungal and antiseptic properties which makes it a useful remedy to fight jock itch. Mix one spoon apple vinegar in water and apply it on the affected area. Leave it to dry.

Coconut Oil

Take half cup coconut oil and add one spoon glycerin and two spoon rose water and make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and see the results instantly.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil contains anti-fungal properties and therefore it can be an effective remedy to fight jock itch. Apply tea tree with help of a cotton ball on the affected area. Prefer shower gels which contain tea tree oils for better results.

Take garlic cloves and crush them. Apply the crushed cloves on the affected area directly. This will relieve you from the itch and will stop the infection from growing.

Add two glasses of warm water to two tablespoon bleach and prepare a mixture. With a clean cotton cloth apply the mixture on the area and repeat this for at least 3-4 times a day till you get relief from the infection completely.

Salt Water Bath

Add some salt to warm water tub and soak your body in it for 20-30 minutes. You can use Epsom salt, bath salt or iodized salt for this. It will remove the infection from your body giving you relief from the itch.

White Vinegar

This can be a useful home remedy to fight jock itch. Add one part of white vinegar to 4 parts of clean water. Soak a clean cloth in the mixture and rub it gently on the affected area. Leave it to dry. Vinegar stops the infection from growing or spreading.

Anti-bacterial Soap

You can also use an anti-bacterial soap to fight the infection. Clean the area with soap and rinse it with lukewarm water. Pat dry the area with a towel and later dry it with a blow drier.
