Regular consumption of cranberry juice decreases the threat of atherosclerosis, an obstruction in the flow of oxygen-rich blood to various parts of the body, which can prove fatal at times as it leads to heart attack or stroke. Cranberry juice can effectively suppress oxidation of low-density lipoprotein and support formation of blood platelets.

Cranberry juice is also helpful in preventing tooth decay. As told above, cranberry juice contains proanthocyanidin that prevents growth of plaque-causing bacteria, thereby preventing tooth decay due to development of cavities. Maintain good dental hygiene and regularly drink moderate amount of cranberry juice to disrupt the mechanism of pathogenesis. You can even try unsweetened cranberry juice to decrease incidence of bacteria that are found in the mouth.
