5 foods you should never eat on an empty stomach

Eating all the right foods but at the wrong time is counterintuitive and a workout in incompetence. Some fruits and vegetables can be used in breakfast for a healthy start of the day. There are certain foods that can be terrible for an empty stomach.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain high levels of tannic acid that increase the acidity of the stomach. Being rich in vitamin C ,it increases the production of gastric juices thus causing heartburn and gastric problem .If you are on certain medication, never eat tomatoes empty stomach as it may lead to gastric ulcer.

Soda

Being high in sugar, this is the worst breakfast choice you could make. They will bloat you and slow down your metabolism.With no food in the stomach, this sugar travels straight to the bloodstream. Once sugar is in the bloodstream, it’s quickly distributed throughout the entire body, causing the blood vessels to widen and result in temporary feelings of warmth, temporary decrease in pulse rate, as well as blood pressure. It travels through the stomach, kidneys, lungs, liver, and then to the brain.

Green veggies

Green vegetables are very good for health due to high mineral and vitamin content. As these veggies are high in amino acid they may cause heartburn and abdominal pain if eaten empty stomach.

Yoghurt

Surprisingly, yoghurt is not good for you if you are taking it as first thing in the morning. The bacteria present in yoghurt kill the good bacteria present in stomach,thus causing acidity and flatulence.

Spicy food

Spicy foods may cause damage to gastric wall, causing the increased secretion of acids, thus disturbing the wall of stomach and intestinal mucosa. This all lead to severe irritation in gastric wall and may lead to ulcer.
