Best Ways to Cut, Peel and Eat Fruits

We just buy fruits, cut them and put them into our mouths thinking it is the right way that they are meant to be eaten. But, it is not always the case with every fruit.

Does peeling an orange often give you sticky hands? A better way of peeling an orange is by using a paring knife to slice off either ends. Thereafter, cut a slit in the orange peel and just roll the fruit out like a strip.


Most people eat apple after slicing it from the sides inwards and later discarding the inedible core. Another way to eat the apple is from the bottom to the top, or from top to the bottom. In this manner, you can eat the whole apple without having to throw any of it except for the stem and seeds.


To eat mango, many would wrestle with a knife or try to dig the fruit out of its skin. One of the better ways to eat the fruit is by using a glass. Cut the mango along the seed in the centre. Look at the smaller portion and see where the flesh meets the skin. Align this part with the edge of the glass and push.


Pomegranates leave stains when they are handled. To cut a pomegranate cleanly, cut a small cone out of the top of the fruit using a paring knife. Then slice a sliver off of the opposite end. Now, lightly score each of the ridges that run from the top of the fruit to the bottom followed by pulling the whole thing apart. In this manner, the seeds will come out without making a mess.


Many of us start peeling banana from the end with the longer stem. However, it is easier to peel from the bottom and eat it after cutting the stringy part of it at the bottom.


You can cut and eat a guava in many different ways. One of the easy ways to eat the fruit is without the seeds by simply cutting the fruit in half and using a teaspoon to scoop the seeds out.


Not many cut kiwi the way it should be cut. It is supposed to be cut in half and then using a spoon be scooped out.


One of the best ways to eat an avocado is with the help of a spoon. You can sprinkle the avocado with salt and pepper or add a bit of soy sauce on top first.
