Treating Digestive Disorders Naturally

Digestive problems are no fun at all especially for those who suffer from them frequently. Digestive problems could be a result of bacteria in food, infection, stress or chronic conditions such as colitis, Crohn’s disease and IBS or even because of the use of certain medications. Problems in digestion at times may cause potential embarrassment. Instead of taking medicines, try ayurvedic treatment.

Hartaki (Terminalia chebula)

This herb has been used as an ayurvedic medicine to treat digestive disorders such as diarrhea, constipation and indigestion from ancient times. Eat terminalia chebula daily to reduce constipation. You may take it in the form of powder or candy sugar.

Isabgole ( Plantago ovate)

Nisoth (Ipomoea turpethum)

Yatimadhu (Glycyzrrhiza glabra)

Lavanga (Syzygium aromaticum - Clove)

Although, you are supposed to avoid spices when you have acidity, you should not stop eating clove. Clove can provide quick relief from acidity. Chew on a single clove to cure acidity.

Ginger offers amazing health benefits that makes it a common ingredient for tea in India. It can also be very effective in keeping your digestive system functioning properly. Starting your day with ginger tea can give you and your digestive system a good start.  It can effectively cure flatulence and congestion.
