Squeeze out some juice from a lemon and apply it directly to the dark areas of your skin with a cotton ball. Let it dry for half an hour and then rinse off with cold water. Lactic acid present in buttermilk is considered to be good for the skin. Apply buttermilk on the brown spots with the help of a cotton swab. Yoghurt helps you lighten brown spots in a very natural way. Take plain yogurt and apply it directly on the spot. Let it dry for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. You may also make a face pack by mixing 1 tablespoonful of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoonful of oatmeal powder and 1 tablespoonful of fresh lemon juice. Aloe vera is one of the most effective remedies for treating skin stings, burns and spots. It acts as a lubricant which nourishes rashes and blackheads.
