    The birth of your child is the best thing for you, however you will need you to be ready for the new role. Stay happy and prepare yourself for the big responsibility.     Support Yourself

    Eat healthy foods all the time and avoid unhealthy foods, especially processed food items. You need to follow a healthy diet that provides you with every mineral and vitamin that your body needs to produce healthy milk for your baby. Also make sure that you drink plenty of water daily.     Keep taking your Prenatals

    Women usually stop taking their prenatal multivitamins once their baby is born and doctors often don't mention anything about it. Even after the baby is born, your body still demands certain nutrients the need for which may actually be higher than ever before because you are breastfeeding.     DHA, fish oil can be very good for your mood and your baby’s brain development. The first six weeks post-partum is especially turbulent for new moms and the baby blues are common.     Get your thyroid, iron, B12, and vitamin D tested, particularly if lately your mood, energy and libido have been low.
