Colas, sodas and fizzy drinks

Soft drinks do more harm than you realise.  Colas, sodas and other fizzy beverages not only deprive us of calcium, but also up the risk of obesity, heart diseases, diabetes, psychological problems, liver conditions, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Staying up late

When you stay up late or pull off all-nighters, your body’s productivity gets affected. Sleep deprivation makes you cranky and inefficient and also causes health risks such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes and obesity.

Loud music

Music soothes, but should not be loud! Keeping it loud is an invitation for hearing loss in adolescence. Lower that volume for good and limit the number of hours you plug in your earphones.

Skipping breakfast

Breakfast gives your body fuel for the day, makes you smarter, keeps weight in check and offers many health benefits. If you don’t eat in the morning, your body’s metabolism runs low, increasing your weight, making you feel sluggish and thus, affecting your health.

Binge drink

Alcohol is good so long as you drink only a glass or two. When consumed in excess, it can be quite similar to poison. It can give you cancer, damage your liver, lower bone density and interfere with mental health. So, if you drink, keep it to just two serves.
