Headphones making more people Deaf

Study suggests that loud headphones could be bad for the ears and it can make you deaf. Youngsters who are always glued to their headphones should take note.

girl listening to musicA new study has shown that if you are listening to loud and blasting music through headphones then you could suffer from hearing loss. A lot of people have been found to be losing their hearing ability due to headphones in a new study.

The survey that was conducted by New York City Health Department has revealed that nearly one in four young adults between the ages of 18 and 55 have hearing problems due to the heavy usage of headphones. This was reported by The New York Post. It was found that they were more likely to have trouble hearing in comparison to those who weren’t listening to music players through headphones frequently.

It was further suggested that more than one-third of young adults have been found to be listening to music with headphones every day. Then out of these about 16 per cent have reported to be listening at high volume for more than four hours.
