All you need to know about hallelujah diet plan

Hallelujajh diet is based on a passage from the Bible (Genesis 1:29). The diet aims to change both the way you eat and the way you live.

Hallelujah Diet is a diet plan which is based on the subsequent passage from the Bible;
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb and bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." — Genesis 1:29

  

The diet aims to change both the way you eat and the way you live. Hallelujah Diet encourages you to eat more "living" foods like raw fruits and vegetables. This is supposed to help cleanse your body of toxins and make it healthier. 

What is Hallelujah Diet?

According to a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, the Hallelujah Diet is a vegetarian diet. The Hallelujah Diet plan encourages people to eat mostly "living" foods to lose weight.

The major portion, 85 percent, of your diet should consist of "living foods” such as fresh vegetable and fruit juices, almond milk and banana milk as alternative to dairy milk, fresh fruits, uncooked whole grains, raw vegetables (such as beans and peas), raw nuts and seeds, fresh herbs and seasonings.

The rest of the 15 percent of your diet may include certain cooked foods, such as stewed fruit, whole-grain bread, cereals, and pasta, herbal teas and vegetable soups. 

What foods to avoid?

Foods which are to be avoided in the Hallelujah Diet include

  • Alcohol, coffee, tea, cocoa, and carbonated drinks
  • Animal products, including meat, fish, and dairy
  • Processed foods, including canned fruits or vegetables, refined grains, and hydrogenated oils
  • Roasted or salted nuts or seeds
  • Salt and pepper
