Food Posisoning is a foodborne illness that occur after the consumption of contaminated food containing bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Nausea, vomiting, general weakness, abdominal pain, cramping, diarrhea and fever are the main symptoms of food poisoning. The main complication associated with food poisoning is dehyration as large amounts of fluids are lost through vomiting and diarrhea, hence the treatment of food poisoning focuses on prevention of dehydration. Though food poisoning is a common illness but at times it can be become deadly illness. People with severe food poisoning may need to be admitted to a hospital.
