Does Eating Chocolate Help Win Nobel PrizesA study has linked chocolate consumption to the number of Nobel Prize winners in a country. Published in one of the world’s most reputable New England Journal of Medicine, the study suggests that chocolate has brain-boosting energy.

Franz Messerli of St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in New York examined whether a country's per-capita chocolate consumption had any link with the number of Nobels it had won. He analysed the statistical data of chocolate intake in 23 countries and Nobel laureates per capita list from Wikipedia. The assessment linked up, with a positive correlation between chocolate intake and number of Nobel laureates. To sum up the findings, the higher a country’s chocolate consumption, the more Nobel laureates it has.

Messerli stated that it is not the chocolate that makes people smart, but those who are more likely to succeed are aware of chocolate's benefits, therefore, are more likely to consume it and avail benefits.
