Vaccines are Safe and Effective

Yes it is very reassuring to get vaccinated, but there are certain things that you need to know. You need to ask whether the vaccine is safe, does it prevent diseases, and which vaccines can safely and also effectively be give together. These issues have not been studied sufficiently. Doctors often say that vaccines could at times over-stimulate your child’s immune system. This could mean that it may cause the very disease which it is designed to protect against. Moreover, sometimes when several vaccines are given in close succession, your child’s developing body could get affected.

Bananas are Fattening

Ask someone why he does not eat bananas? In comes the reply, because they think bananas are fattening! But the truth is something else. Bananas are fruits that are actually low in fact and there is only about half a gram of fat and 95 calories in your banana. Bananas are in fact packed with potassium too which come in their own packaging and are therefore clean and very good for snacking!

Soy is Healthy

Soy has somehow turned out to be a health food in the current times, and it is nothing more than marketing strategy to make fools out of people. Unfermented soy products are in no way healthy for your diet. In fact thousands of studies have shown that fermented soy could lead to malnutrition, digestive distress, immune-system breakdown, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders and infertility. So, how much of a soy consumer are you?

Eating Vitamins and Supplements

No you do not really need vitamins and supplements if you are eating your meals regularly which should include fruits, vegetables and lean meat. There is only little evidence that suggests that gobbling vitamins and supplements can improve your health and no not even your love life or your IQ. The truth is that some vitamins could be really bad for you, and they can increase the risk of diseases. What we are trying to tell you here is that you should not waste your money in eating such vitamins and supplements that are very expensive and is of little or no help.

Low Fat Diets are Healthy

Well yes, eating fat would mean to get fat, but is it so? The crazy part is that some fat man thought fat in your diet can make you like him and announced that low fat should be the order of the day, pushing you and your ship of fools to eat-trans fats. Now this trans-fat is something which leads to obesity, diabetes and heart disease! No, fat eating will not make you fat, just stop consuming too much of sugar and you will be just fine.

Myths are hard to de-bunk because they sound so real! Everyone seems to be following them, even your wise old neighbour whom you run to for life’s advices. But the fact is that we are consuming a lot of media driven nonsense, and it is our duty to understand things better.
