Ayushman Bharat: India To Sign MoU With Germany and Brazil For Health Of Working Professionals

The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between India and Brazil for extending a helping hand in the Health and Pharmaceuticals sector.

The main focus of India and the government is to rehabilitate the health of working professionals. Owing to stress, competition, increasing workload and many other factors, the health of the young working professionals is always under the scanner. The Ministry of Health has entered into a new agreement with Brazil and Germany to strengthen the Ayushman Bharat Mission further. The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved an MoU between India and Brazil for extending cooperation in the Health and Pharmaceuticals sector. The bilateral MoU between India and Brazil will encourage collaboration between the two countries through joint initiatives in view of the development of the health sector. This agreement will improve the health status of the people of both countries. Through this, bilateral relations between India and Brazil will be strengthened. The Mou is slated to be signed in November 2019.

The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the signing of an MoU on the retrospective basis between India and the German Agency for Occupational Diseases, Rehabilitation and Employment Training.  The agreement with DGUV, a specialist agency in the field of occupational safety and health and social security in Germany, will help as follows:

  • Exchange of information and promotion of activities in the area of rehabilitation related to medical and occupational matters and for social rehabilitation of insured persons with disabilities. This will enable capacity building and social rehabilitation of insured persons with disabilities besides prevention, detection and treatment of occupational diseases through the exchange of information and cooperation.

The Ayushman Bharat Mission is working slowly towards making India a healthier place to live. The sole aim of this movement is to enable the people to live a healthier and safer life with the help of every possible medical need available with ease. Some works undertaken this mission are as follows:

  • BRICS countries will cooperate for cheap and good quality medicines, resolve to make India cancer-free
  • More than 50 lakh people benefited from the Ayushman Bharat Mission, stated by the Prime Minister
  • Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan attended the G-20 Okayama Health Ministers' Meeting held under the Presidency of Japan in Okayama City, Japan, on 19-20 October 2019. The deliberations of the G20 Health Ministers focused on four major global health issues, including achievement of public health coverage, rehabilitation to the ageing population, management of health risks and health safety management including anti-microbial resistance (AMR).
