Lowering the acidic levels in the stomach: Sometimes, in order to regularize the pH levels in the body, alkaline water reduces the acids in the stomach which helps kill the pathogens and bacteria in the stomach.
Gastrointestinal issues: Excess alkalinity in the body may agitate the digestive ability of the stomach which leads to stomach-related health problems such as upset stomach, gas, acidity, etc.
Bone health: Alkalosis is a state where alkalinity is extremely high in the body. This decreases the levels of free calcium in the body which hampers bone health.
Skin irritation: Reduced acids and increases alkalines are likely to agitate the skin where you tend to suffer irritating, itchy skin.
