5 Signs you are stuck in a One-sided Relationship

5 Signs you are stuck in a One-sided Relationship
Quick Bites
  • Are you always the one texting or calling?
  • Does he ignore everything you do and say?
  • If yes, you might be in a one-sided relationship
  • Their gestures and behaviour are enough to tell you if they love you

Love binds two strangers in a bond of respect, passion and beautiful emotion. But that same feeling can change if the person you love does not love you back. Love can get complicated when the person you really like does not reciprocate the same feelings.

Here are some signs that can help you figure out if your partner is not into you. If you agree to even three of them, we are sorry to tell you but you are in a one-sided relationship.

You Always Initiate Communication

Are you always the one texting or calling? Are you the only one putting all the efforts in the relationship? And if you don’t, you don’t hear from your partner. If you are the one making all the plans and your partner spends most of their time looking at their phones. This should be your cue to end the relationship before it gets too late for you and turns into a mess.

Always Chooses His/Her Friends Over You

It is okay to be able to hang out with your friends but it is not okay to ignore your girlfriend/boyfriend in the process. If they make plans without you all the time, this means that they do not like the idea of hanging out with you as much as you think they do.

When you point these things out, they start calling you a ‘nag’ or completely ignore your words. They leave you behind even when they make plans with common friends. If you still haven’t understood, then this is where you need to call it quits.

You Always Apologize Unnecessarily

If you love someone then you don’t make them feel bad about themselves and embrace their good and bad side. But when your partner doesn’t feel the same way you do, they will make you feel guilty when you haven’t even done anything wrong. In a relationship, couples support each other through the tough times, not make the situation tough for each other. Apologize only when you have actually done something wrong, not because your partner is not satisfied. They should be supporting you when you are not feeling your best instead of criticizing you for everything.

They Do Not Include You in Future Plans

In a relationship, you make collective decisions. You always think of the future keeping your significant other in mind. So, the next time he or she forgets to mention something important about their future, that’s probably because they are just not that into you.

They Show No Concern

If you are in a one-sided relationship, your partner will simply not care about anything you do and want, and they will make sure that you know that they don’t. Someone who cares about you will show you genuine concern and would worry about you and be interested in what you do on a daily basis. But if they don’t, it is time to let go.

If someone really likes or loves you, they will let you know through their gestures and behaviour as you would. If the other person is not brave enough to tell you the truth, it is you who needs to open their eyes to the truth. So, don’t be blinded with your love and notice these signs. These signs might help you before it gets too late and you end up hurting yourself.
