A good concentration ability demands great effort and a lot of time. No matter how much you practice concentration for weeks or months, you will be disappointed by the results if your brain does not perform well. However, there are some easy ways with the help of which you can concentrate more effectively and quickly. Keep the following tips handy whenever you find your concentration level taking a nose dive.
It often happens that you become what you wish to focus on. Many people derive characteristics of the subject they want to concentrate on. This can be proven by the facts that many couples who have been married for years start to look like each other, pets start to resemble their owners, and many people start looking like their hobbies.
While sitting in a movie, notice other people in the hall. Look around the theatre and you will see most people staring at the screen with their eyes barely blinking and their breath going slower. You will realize that it would require a major distraction to break their attention. You can pick hints from these physical signs to enhance your concentration skills.
When you multi-task, hear loud noise, or have a visual stimulation, concentrating may become difficult. When you surround yourself with such things it is very easy for your concentration to break.
When you have decided to not let anything distract you, stay determined. Look for a quieter place but, if you can’t find one learn to block all the disturbing elements in the surrounding.
To increase your concentration, you must increase the cosmic energy or direct your life-force or conscious. The more this energy you possesses the better concentrating abilities you will have. Scattered energy will not help you in any way. It must be calm and focused.
When you find yourself losing focus from the task, take a walk and soothe your senses. Do this often because this will help you recharge yourself before returning to your job.
While mediating, control and observe your breath. This will allow you to focus your mind on one task at a time. When you observe your breath, it will slow down along with the mind and you enter a state of peace and feel dynamic.
Concentration is a pre-requisite if you wish to excel in any area. Use these tips to tame your mind and to focus better.
