Weight gain may not be easy as some may think. You can make all sorts of efforts to gain weight but continue to be stuck with lean frame. If you are one of them, do not be disenchanted.
You should be eating healthy proteins, fats and carbohydrates to gain weight. Your aim should be consuming more calories than what is burned. The calories should come with nutrients. Sweet potatoes, whole wheat breads, nuts and dairy products are some foods which are a must for you. Fruits and vegetables should also be included in your diet for making your diet balanced.
Having larger portions makes you feel full early. In order to eat more, you would do well to eat your food in smaller sizes so that you may consume more. Moreover, it is recommended that you take 2 to 3 servings in each of your meals. In this way, you can add more calories little by little.
Have three meals in a day and two small meals in between them. You must have three proper meals during the day and include some snacks in between them. Have nuts or salad with juicy fruits and vegetables
Having a calorie-rich drink can give you more calories than eating. You can easily add more than 100 calories with a glass of fresh fruit juice. Make sure that the fruit juice is not canned. Fresh and pure fruit juices are a great option for building up bulk and this is recommended by gym instructors too. The fibre in the fruit juices really help to absorb the food in your body.
If you have not done so already, go for a medical check up to diagnose any underlying condition as the cause of your problem. Both physical and mental disorders can suppress your appetite. Medications are available to cure them and you might be in need of them.
No matter how eagerly you are looking to gain weight fast, never resort to shortcuts such as crash dieting, weight gain pills or artificial weight enhancer foods.
