Because there is not public or private space where smoking is encouraged openly, it becomes very difficult for closet smokers or addicted smokers to find themselves a place to smoke in. It puts them under terrible stress of just looking for a suitable smoke place that does not punish them for smoking, but lets them enjoy the habit. Such stress and guilt of being caught smoking can mar the mere enjoyment of indulging in the activity. So, when a person quite smoking, he/she starts to feel better instead of stressed and guilty.
Smokers tend to expose their family as well as friends to passive smoking. Tobacco has 4, 000 known chemicals in it most of which are harmful and have been known to cause cancer. Children are especially at risk of dangerous diseases through second hand smoke because they have smaller lungs and their immune system is not strong enough. Therefore, as soon as you quit, you reduce the risk of yourself as well as those around you.
Smoking is a very expensive habit that can cost you close to half of your daily earning if you are an addicted smoker. Thus, it can be burdening financially as well as health-wise. As soon as you quit, you reduce your expenditure significantly and end up having money to spend on other priorities.
Smoking can stain nails, fingers and teeth. Smokers are also very much at the risk of developing bad breath, gum diseases and other oral issues. Moreover, they are twice as likely to lose their teeth as compared with non-smokers. So, the upside to quitting smoking is not having any of these. Quitting smoking will immediately improve the flow of blood in your body, benefiting the skin and the rest of the body. If you go tobacco-free, you tend to not have stains on the fingers, nails and will even have whiter teeth.
