An open pore is not a medical condition; in fact, it’s not even a medical term. It’s a natural feature of oily skin, and occurs due to excess oil secretions. So why does your skin have pores in the first place? Pores are extremely small holes on the skin that serve as passage for the natural oil generated by skin and also house hair follicles. Pores allow oil to reach to the skin surface for natural maintenance of the skin.
The size of the pores may vary from person to person and from one pore to another depending on various factors including age and genetics. However, poor hygiene results in access oil getting accumulated in the pores trapped under dirt and dead skin cells, opening the pores further.
Open pores occur most commonly on the face, especially on and around cheeks. Open pores tend to grow even bigger with age. A clogged pore will only accumulate further more dirt, dead skin cells and oil, leading to visibly noticeable pores. In order to get rid of the open pores or to prevent them from growing further, you would need to cleanse them yourself. While there are several chemical based products available to clean clogged open pores, they often pose risk of side effects after frequent and prolonged use. Ice cubes offer an effective and completely safe natural remedy for open pores. A couple of ice cubes can easily cleanse your pores, giving you a healthier and naturally glowing skin.
Ice cubes are one of the easiest and probably the quickest ways to remove excess oil and dirt from your face. The best think about ice cubes is that they are completely natural. So if you have sensitive skin or acne on your face, you should avoid chemical based cleansers for cleaning up the open pores. Rather go for ice cubes to get the best results without any harsh side effects on the skin. Also whenever you are in a hurry and need to cleanse your skin, an ice cube is your best bet.
To get the healthy and dewy fresh look back on your face, all you need to do is just rub your face for a minute or two with ice cubes. Not only the ice cube will remove dirt and oil from the pores but it will also make your face look smoother. However, instead of applying ice cubes directly to your skin, it is better to wrap ice cubes in a cloth and apply it gently over the open pores. You can also add some essential oils to your ice trays before freezing to make the ice cubes even more effective and suitable for your skin. Without much effort you will be able to get a glowing and smoother skin within few minutes at zero cost.
