After the initiation of infection, TB may take 8 to 10 weeks to manifest as a disease. The primary symptoms that develop due to an active TB infection are- tiredness or weakness, weight loss, fever, and night sweats. As lungs are the major organs to be affected, worsened symptoms such as- coughing, chest pain, coughing up of sputum and shortness of breath may also appear.
