Having tea with 1 tbsp of sugar and low fat milk gives only 40 calorie of energy. From last few decades green tea has become popular as tea with maximum benefits but even black tea can does same goodness if taken with adequate ingredients. Most important concern is about having tea with milk or not. Milk contains protein called casein which binds with very few active chemicals of tea making them less bio available for metabolic functions. But tea packed with almost 200 chemical molecules gives the maximum benefit even it is taken with milk. For making an ideal tea one should limit the amount of sugar and milk. Also boil the tea below 1000C.Using tea leaves is a better option to get maximum benefits. So you can enjoy tea as health drink by making it the right way. And if you are using tea bag do not put it dipped in your milk for more than 3 minutes.
