Diabetes is a far prevalent disease in India, which only seems to grow manifolds with each year. Gestational diabetes refers to a type of diabetes that is occurs to a women at the time of pregnancy. During pregnancy, a woman goes through hormonal changes, which increase the chances of acquiring the disease. While it is not a problem for people with regular diabetes to ignore a few blood sugar values, it is mandatory that gestational diabetics strictly ensure that their sugar levels are controlled to protect the baby and the mother.
