We all feel sad at some point of life however sadness does not mean that we are depressed. Depression and sadness are not the same thing however often many people confuse depression with normal sadness. Normal sadness or feeling low is considered to be symptom of depression but there is a clear difference between normal sadness and depression.Depression is persistent and persuasively sadness which goes on no matter what happens in your life. Depression is a physiological disorder while sadness is an emotion that affects everybody. It is very important to distinguish whether someone is depressed or sad. That is why it becomes critically important to identify depression and intervene in ways that effectively counter it.
